True Friend of the Straw Hat Pirates [2]

In my previous post I mentioned that the true friend of Straw Hat Pirates is the sea, because I may thought as a writer without totally involving my self in the story.

But after watching Season 8 Episode 29 “Thank You, Merry! The Snow on the Sea of Farewells”, I then could ‘understand’ (I have to bring my self into this anime). And what was presented in it could really influence my view on who are proper to be their true friend. I was really swept into the atmosphere of that episode. The theme song, at the moment of their Going Merry farewell, is really going together and bring my feeling in. At the time, I even did not take my idea any more. It can be said that the episode has changed my view. Whereas it “just” showed us a deep sorrow of their closeness, between Straw Hat Pirates and Going Merry, and their consciousness on a farewell they should face.

When I was ‘immersed’ in that episode, I then thought that the episode takes second place of the best sorrowful scene I’ve ever watched, be under of a sorrowful scene presented in the series of Hikaru no Go, surely in my opinion.

True Friend of the Straw Hat Pirates

Last night I’ve watched anime series One Piece. The episode entitled “The Feelings Shown with Fists! Luffy’s Full Strength Gatling”. In last minutes of the episode narrated that there is an aid from friend who would help them out from Navy encirclement. The friend is on the sea.

“Don’t we still have another friend?”, shouted Usopp. While looking at the sea, he made his friends and my self aware of thing. I just directly thought that this anime is really great. Why? I guessed the thing what Usopp meant is the sea. However the anime very joking is, it still could provide ’something’ touching certain part of its audience. Yes, I guessed it was the sea. The thing I never thought all this time, and it may only be thought by Eiichiro Oda, writer of the anime. That the true friend who are going to save the pirates is the sea itself. That will be very cool idea.

And then apparently, this become a wedge in my mind, the friend who Usopp meant is Going Merry. In fact I’m extremely admiring that scene and just having an idea that their friend is the sea. I was straightaway rather dissapointed. I wondered why Oda Sensei chose Going Merry? Though it’s Oda’s privilege for setting the story.

I keep having a stand that the True Friend of the Straw Hat Pirates is the Sea.
